We used the Creative Commons video about sharing on the web and then have discussions about what to share online and what not to share. We have one advisory period so we are really introducing the topic and starting conversations. The advisory teachers have several follow-up lessons that deal with personal information and cyber bullying. -- Diane Hilbrink

This year we discuss texting, IMing and stress think before you click. The advisory teachers have several follow-up lessons which were created by the bully prevention tactic team. Most of their information came from Olweus.
The video The Terrible TeXt from NetSmartz does a nice job of introduction this concept. I have used this with both sixth and seventh graders. ---Diane Hilbrink

I used this with the 7th grade houses. It takes about 35 - 40 minutes including discussions. Feel free to adapt as you see fit.
